Teppanyaki House

Japanese food in Bur Dubai

Time Out Says

From Time Out Dubai Eating Out 2011
With an abundance of Japanese restaurants to choose from in Dubai, to make an impression on the scene it has to really be of top quality. Unfortunately, Teppanyaki House falls very short. Our experience started well being seated at the teppanyaki station within the small and intimate restaurant inside the Ramada hotel. We opted for the Tokyo cut to share as a starter, a selection of sushi and sashimi, which was presented well, but left a lot to be desired in taste - the sashimi was fatty and stringy and the sushi pretty tasteless. We followed with chicken teppanyaki, which was cooked nicely, if not a little bland but when we asked for a better alternative we were directed to the most expensive item on the menu. Even the beef was far from tender and did nothing on the taste front either. With a lot of competition out there, Teppanyaki House really needs to up the stakes.
