The Noodle Factory
A budget mixed South East Asian eat in Dubai Marina Mall
Time Out Says
If you can get past the slightly off-putting decor (the walls are adorned with silver plaster casts of squirming fat noodles which have the unfortunate appearance of worms and might remind you of a disturbing scene in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom) then you’ll find affordable South East Asian food at this chain in Dubai Marina Mall. The menu is simple and offers Chinese, Malay and Thai-inspired options. Make no mistake and go straight for the Malaysian street food dish, char kwey teow (flat rice noodles stir fried with chicken, veggies and bean sprouts). The crispy spring rolls are decent enough, but the stir fried eggplant with sweet chilli has a gooey consistency and tends to fall a little flat. It’s not the first place you’d come for duck pancakes or pad thai, but this venue is affordable and hits the spot if you order wisely.
