The Royal Budha - Thai Restaurant
Time Out Says
The restaurant sits on the ground floor of The Holiday Inn Dubai – Al Barsha. It’s down to earth and diners dress for comfort rather than to impress.
The lighting is low and the restaurant feels homely, in large part due to the smiley, welcoming staff, whose efficient and friendly service is truly excellent.
There’s a rather extensive menu, featuring all the usual dishes you’d expect to find on a Thai list – pad Thai, papaya salad, green curry et al – but if you opt for the sharing platter to start you’ll be a happy diner. Starring dumplings and noodle salad, it’s fresh and tasty.
A red vegetable curry is deliciously rich, and a chicken and vegetable noodle soup will blow your taste buds away (in terms of heat and flavour).
It’s authentic, it’s accessible and it’s a great spot to venture to when funds aren’t sky high. The Royal Budha is a happy medium, but anything but average.
