Time Out Says
We began with a lovely apricot, banana and strawberry cocktail. My California club sandwich was an innovative variation on the traditional club. Made with toasted brioche, it was bursting with teriyaki chicken, grilled Portobello mushrooms, Swiss cheese, avocado and salad. Accompanied by crispy steak fries it was the perfect quick lunch. The mushroom and goats cheese pizza with red pesto cream and rocquette salad was also a great success. Despite having eaten every crumb on our plates we still succumbed to a double chocolate brownie with caramel crunch ice cream and grissini for dessert. It was very rich with a high cocoa content, and we wouldn’t hesitate to have it again.
The service was erratic and inconsistent but we hope that this will improve as it was the only disappointing aspect of our lunch. We will be back for more.
