Time Out Says

A sprawling, gloomy sports bar littered with dozens of glowing screenings, model sports stars and billiard tables, Time Café is a peculiar place when there’s a big match in full swing and crowds packing out the venue. When the punters are few, it feels almost incomplete, in need of a lick of paint, and laid out in a haphazard way. For a drink and some American-British bar stodge, however, it’s not a bad place to stop. Mammoth pies are almost canoe-like in both size and dimension, while the mountain of ribs is every bit as sweet, sticky and messy as you might hope. But while the food is good value, the drinks prices are a little steep considering the less-than-glamorous location. If your dream is to be left alone with a cold drink, in the dark with nothing but the flicker of a football match to keep you company, then look no further.
