Turkish Village Restaurant & Cafe

Time Out Says

This restaurant is massive – set on two floors with sprawling outdoor terraces on both. The decor a little chintzy, but the food is authentic and staff are knowledgeable, attentive, helpful and swift. Dishes are classic, tasty and come in large portions that are perfect for sharing. The simple lentil soup is fresh, well spiced and a pure delight to eat, while the mini lahmacun (easily enough for two) contains just the right proportion of minced meat and spiced tomato mix for its thin, crisp base. The grilled meats are also something special here – the kebab with eggplant (which comes highly recommended by the staff, and for good reason) is outstanding. We can’t fault this restaurant.

It’s a great place for a laidback meal with friends. The venue itself may not have the wow factor that other eateries offering the same cuisine has, but in terms of service, quality and value for money, Turkish Village certainly holds its own.
