Time Out Says
The Thai restaurant has flown under the radar mostly, but it’s certainly worth discovering more about. The pristine lobby of the DusitD2 Kenz in Barsha Heights gives nothing about Wise Kwai away.
Once you open the pink door you’re transported into a kitsch, cinema-themed dining room, filled with Thai movie memorabilia (the eatery takes its name from a classic Thai film).
The staff are unbelievably charming. They’ll help you navigate the menu and make recommendations, and we advise you to take them.
From curries to soups and salads to noodles, there’s plenty here for newbies to Thai cuisine, as well as for those who are a bit more experienced. Dishes are packed with flavour (and as much spice as you like) and is served on handmade crockery and in colourful pots and tiffin boxes.
The classics are all great (try pad Thai noodles) or go for the steamed sea bass for something a little different. Desserts and sides also hit the mark.
For a good-value, relaxed Thai meal, this is really up there.
