Time Out Says

Looking for something quick, cheap and healthy? Look no further than Wokyo. This laid-back JLT eatery is welcoming, with a  warm and friendly atmosphere, vibrant interiors and a delicious scent of stirfries and spices that lures you right in.

The Asian restaurant is kitted out in fuschia pink and looks fresh and lively. It’s a sign of what is to come and the many diners inside are testament to the delicious food that is to follow.

The menu concept at Wokyo is a very simple but effective mishmash of ingredients prepared however you wish.

Choose a sauce from a pan-Asian selection – such as teryaki, oyster or flaming chilli – then opt for steamed rice or one of the selections of noodle varieties. Add your protein (chicken, beef, prawns, tofu or vegetables) and finally any added extras and side dishes.

The menu isn’t massive, but it doesn’t need to be when you can tailor every dish to your culinary needs, and when the food arrives you won’t fail to be impressed by the flavours and portion size.

Billing itself as “born in the streets of Tokyo”, service in this small space is friendly and rapid. If you’re after something fast and satisfying then Wokyo is a great option that ticks all the boxes.
