Time Out Says
The closest thing you’ll find to Ravi’s in New Dubai, this cheap and cheerful Pakistani restaurant serves up sandwich-style fresh kebabs as well as a delicious selection of curries. Parking in the area can be haphazard, but it’s well worth the cab fare or the walk if you live in the area. Kick start your meal on a fiery note with the samosa chaat, a spicy mish-mash of fried potato and chick peas smothered in yoghurt. The selection of kebab rolls are all priced under Dhs20 each, but if you’re looking for something a little heavier, the curry dishes are outstanding. The butter chicken, in particular, is a hit, sweet and tangy and on the mild side, while the silky palak paneer, a curry of spinach and cubes of cottage cheese, is rich and fresh. Despite the mutton chops being a bit on the measly side, the flavours are intense and there are enough to keep you nibbling until you’re full to the brim. Make sure you leave room for the flaky, fried paratha or else you’ll regret it.
