Time Out Says
This global chain was one of the first to roll out ‘kaiten’ conveyor belt-style sushi to the masses outside Japan. There are five outlets in Dubai, all falling more or less in line with the rest, reflecting the brand’s bright orange logo in their colourful, modern if slightly plastic-y interiors. The Dubai Mall branch is one of the largest, with ample seating around the sushi bar (great if you’re dining solo) as well as a few regular standalone tables. The concept is simple; more than 80 dishes, each served on a different coloured plate that corresponds to the cost, ranging from Dhs13-23. Many of these can be plucked straight off the production line, the industrious chefs replenishing as needed, or you can order à la carte, the menu also including hot dishes such as noodles and teriyaki. None of it will blow you away, but it’s consistently decent, tasty fare that’s more than affordable.
