Time Out Says
Zaytoni occupies a prime spot right in the middle of Dubai Mall’s lower ground floor area of restaurants. The outside hoarding and inside interiors of the restaurant are dominated by a stylish palette of pale beige stone and wood. Uniquely, Zaytoni offers a menu of Lebanese cooking dotted with Armenian dishes. The food is generally of a decent, classic and enjoyable standard. The menu itself helpfully highlights many of the Armenian dishes, making it easier to navigate for those eager to try something outside of the usual Levant context. Staff here seem to be entirely Arabic-speaking, and while they certainly know the food they are serving, there is some difficultly faced in communicating with them as a non-Arabic diner. Zaytoni is not the best spot for either Lebanese or Armenian dishes in the Downtown area, but it’s good for decent Mediterranean and Arabic cooking within the mall.
