Marks & Spencer brings Colin the Caterpillar Cake to Dubai

The extremely chocolatey cake will cost you Dhs79

We've got some major breaking news for you. British department store Marks & Spencer is finally bringing its legendary Colin the Caterpillar cake to Dubai, and we can't wait to grab a slice.

If you're not familiar with Colin, then you've been missing out.

The cake is extremely chocolatey – indeed, it features a chocolate sponge roll, filled with chocolate buttercream, and is covered in mouth-watering milk chocolate.

Add to that a white chocolate face, as well as sugar-coated milk chocolate beans, and you've got the ultimate birthday treat.

Although Marks & Spencer has been around in Dubai for a while, we've had to wait until now for the launch of the cake.

It'll cost you Dhs79 for 625 grams, and it's totally worth it. It’s available at selected M&S stores including Dubai Festival City, Dubai Marina, Mall of the Emirates and Springs.

Since launching in 1990, Colin the Caterpillar has been enjoyed at more than eight million parties around the world – including footballer David Beckham’s 41st birthday.

It's even been spotted on the tables of Olympic champion Jessica Ennis and former UK Prime Minister David Cameron.

And now you can try it here in Dubai. So what are you waiting for? Get yourself down to Marks & Spencer and get digging in.

While you're there, why not try some of the store's other British favourites – from crumpets to the teatime biscuit selection.
Available at various M&S stores including Dubai Festival City, Dubai Marina Walk, Mall of the Emirates and Springs. For more information, go to
