While Dubai Summer Surprises might be most heavily associated with shopping sales and discounts across the city, there’s plenty more going on throughout the 2020 edition of the festival, which runs from July 9 to August 29.
Spend Dhs250 at any outlet in the shopping mall and register your receipt for a chance to win instant prizes every day throughout the shopping festival, while during Eid Al-Adha, from July 30 to August 8, there will be a Dhs25,000 grand prize draw, and during the Super Sale period from August 27 to 29 there will be a Dhs50,000 cash prize up for grabs.
Every Friday and Saturday from 11am to 3pm, the mall will host live music at Depachika Food Hall, while there will be a pianist performing every day from 1pm to 5pm on the lower ground floor, and a saxophonist and guitarist playing every evening from 5.30pm to 8.39pm on level one, outside Starbucks.
Dreams, an art show hosted in collaboration with Dubai’s Alserkal Cultural Foundation, will showcase emerging artists of the UAE, through a series of installations that showcase how light and shadows can create four-dimensional images.
Every weekend, from 10am to 7pm on both Fridays and Saturdays, the mall will also host the Ripe Retail Pop-up from Dubai’s renowned Ripe Market, featuring handmade products from local crafters and artisans.
