Carine Abboud’s 60 second style guide

Social media addict with a passion for shopping and a hatred of sand

Quick fire Q&A, Carine

Describe your style in 5 words: edgy, daring, colourful, relaxed, sexy.
Where would you like to wake up tomorrow? New York, I just love that city.
The best decade in the history of style was: 2000-2010. The best styles from each decade were revived.
The film I should have starred in is: Eat, Pray and Love.
When I tell my friends I’ve been selected as one of Time Out’s 20 most stylish readers they will say: I knew I picked a good shopping partner!
The acronym that describes me is: OMG.
The secret to style is: to be daring without blindly following trends. Go with what suits your body style and look.
A perfect day would be: two hours at the pool, four hours in the mall and a fancy dinner followed by a party.
My profound thought for the day is: the most important thing is to feel good about yourself. Do whatever needs to be done to be comfortable in your skin.
Massive meals or light bites? A mix of both.
Rock star, film star or sports star? I’d definitely be a film star.
Sunrise or sunset? Sunset as the colours are nicer and it’s more romantic.
Burj Al Arab or Burj Khalifa? Burj Khalifa, it’s new!
Desert or beach? Neither, I hate sand. But love the sun.
Mall or market? Mall. I've gotten used to Dubai and staying indoors.
Hot or cold? Hot. I can’t stand cold cities, colours or people.
Facebook or Twitter? Both, when you have a Blackberry you become addicted to social media.
Trainers or shoes? Shoes. I m not a sporty girl. I only have one pair of trainers somewhere in my closet and I only wear them in cities were nobody knows me.
Mac or PC? Most definitely Mac.
