Romana D’Annunzio’s fashion tips

How a Top Shop boutique dress can stand alongside Vivienne Westwood and Prada

My best buys, Romana

Vivienne Westwood pearl choker, Dhs2,620 from Vivienne Westwood in Conduit Street, London: A beautiful, timeless piece and always stylish. They work with everything.
Lucy in Disguise tea dress, Dhs930 from Harvey Nichols: this retro tea dress looks great with a matt red lipstick.
Topshop Boutique white maxi dress, Dhs1,020: light cotton with a beautiful embroidery design. It cost a bit more than normal Topshop, but it was worth it for the cut and detail.
Prada gladiator sandals, Dhs2,210 from Harvey Nichols: the studs and black patent leather are stunning worn with Chanel’s Rouge Noir on the toes.
New Look black playsuit, Dhs145: looks great with amber or turquoise beads and gladiator sandals.
Coccinelle acid yellow shoulder bag, Dhs465, bought in Rome: I love adding this bright yellow bag to an outfit for work.
Nicole Farhi stripe top, Dhs553 from Harvey Nichols: stripes always work well for me. I wear this with Capri pants or wide leg trousers for a nautical look.
Monica Vinader vintage earrings, Dhs870: they are golden and glamorous with an aquamarine precious stone hanging from the hoop. I only wear them when the sun is shining.
Peter Pan collar tee, Dhs145 from Topshop: great to wear with black Day Birger and Michelson shorts, pearls and patent pumps for a retro casual look.
Blue and white pencil skirt, Dhs553 from Whistles: There’s a 1940s feel to this piece. I wear it with patent Mary Jane’s for work with a white blouse and pearls.
Day, Birger and Michelson necklace, Dhs465: I love the glossy bronze colour of the beads and the tassles are a bit quirky. I wear it with a white long vest top with khaki harem pants.
Whistles gold bangles, Dhs203 from Whistles
