Stride the corridors of the world’s largest dragon-shaped shopping mall

Selling everything from restaurant furniture and neon lights to bargain shoes and multi-coloured diamante-encrusted jewellery all the way from China, DragonMart is certainly not your average shopping mall. At 1.2km long, it’s a serious undertaking to scour the place for gems, but keep looking because there are plenty to be found. After all that, you’ll most likely require a feed, and your best bet is SunTour (curiously the lone Chinese restaurant in the complex) which does a great value combo meal for Dhs20 – just avoid the overpriced tea.
Open Sat-Wed 10am-10pm, Thu 10am-11pm, Friday 2pm-11pm. Al Awir Road. From the Emirates Road, head towards Hatta at Interchange 5. (04 428 5665).
