Buy local produce at a farmers’ market

Fast becoming THE meeting place for Dubai’s foodies, the Ripe Farmers’ Market takes place at Dubai Garden Centre every Saturday between 9am and 1pm. Pick up an organic veggie box sourced from local farmers (a small one costs Dhs80, and a large one is Dhs130), then browse the aisles for all manner of gourmet dips, fancy fudge, artisan bread, scrumptious cupcakes and homemade chutneys – all made by local cottage industries. And if you’re still feeling peckish after sampling what’s on offer, don’t miss the sizzling sausage barbecue from Prime Gourmet.
Open Saturdays 9am-1pm. Dubai Garden Centre, Sheikh Zayed Road,,
