This charity drive, a collaboration between Dubai-based long-distance runner Tori Leckie and local charity SmartLife, aims to provide labourers with sneakers to compete in the SmartCup cricket tournament in February. Donations can be made at Fortune Promoseven, Office 449, Emarat Atrium on Sheikh Zayed Road between 9am and 6pm, Sunday to Thursday.

Dubai Shopping Festival
There are just over two weeks left of the bonanza of sales and events taking place throughout the city. With more than 6,000 outlets participating, as well as stores at the Global Village complex, this year the event is bigger than ever. Bebe Holiday Collection
The young party brand is known for being a little teeny-bopper, but Bebe’s new holiday collection is more than just bandage dresses and bodysuits. Featuring wet-look-style denim in futuristic shades such as silver, gold and bronze, the new line is fun and a little daring.

Creative Growth for Everybody
T-shirts at Harvey Nichols The Creative Growth project was launched by the world’s largest visual centre for adults with disabilities, and these feel-good T-shirts feature the works of artists with disabilities. They have already been picked up by museums worldwide, including MOMA in New York. We love the cat with peace signs (pictured above). Available in V-neck and crew styles.

Gap now open at Ibn Battuta
Covering 882 sq m and located in the Egypt section of the mall, the UAE’s ninth Gap store is light and lively, with dedicated areas for women, men, kids and babies. This one-stop shop and easy-to-wear brand is your go-to for basics such as T-shirts and denim.

Charlie and the Chocolate
Bear stage show at Reef Mall Kids and families will be entertained by a lively stage show, following Charlie across the world, as he seeks out the chocolate bean to keep the Wonka dream alive, followed by a photo opportunity with the characters. Chocolate-inspired fun, games and arts and crafts will also run throughout DSF. Stage show daily 6.15pm and 8pm.

See dance performances at Deira City Centre
During the evenings, the mall’s centre stage will host dance performances exploring a wide range of traditional styles and influences, such as Bollywood and urban dance. There will be three nightly shows from 6pm to 10pm. During the day, kids can participate in fashion workshops and have their photo taken in their stylish gear at the same venue. Also at Deira City Centre, the newly opened Metro Link will transform into a lifestyle photo exhibition showcasing local artistic talent.

The Powerpuff Girls concert at BurJuman
Looking for a way to keep the kids entertained while you grab some bargains? The Powerpuff Girls will take to the stage at BurJuman, performing all their biggest hits.
