Market Days at O’De Rose
From Wednesday November 21, local French designers are displaying their handmade collections in the garden of this eclectic boutique. You’ll find everything from funky jewellery to furniture. Part of the proceeds will be donated to SOS Children’s Village charity in support of Children’s Rights Day.

South Asian Festival at Global Village
Running from Thursday November 22 until Saturday November 24, this Toronto-based festival features local South Asian talent. Headlining the event on opening night is Bollywood music maestros Salim and Sulaiman Merchant and UAE-born Canada-based singer Shweta Subram. The event also features performances by stand-up comedians, a children’s section and South Asian food outlets selling traditional treats.

David Beckham Holiday Bodywear Collection at H&M
New winter-friendly styles have been added to David Beckham’s Bodywear collection and are now available at H&M. The campaign images show Becks in a hooded morning gown, draw-string pyjama pants and long johns with padded elbows. We approve.

Lingerie Française exhibition
From Friday November 23 Galeries Lafayette is displaying a retrospective covering over 100 years of French lingerie. It demonstrates the innovation of European intimates pioneers and has already been shown in Paris, London and Shanghai.

National Day celebrations at Arabian Centre
This small Mirdif-based mall is providing traditional entertainment, free henna and a falcon display for shoppers in the lead up to National Day on Sunday December 2. Five shoppers will also have the chance to win their ‘wish’, worth up to Dhs5,000, when they draw it on the digital canvas provided. Winners who are present for the draw will also win Dhs1,000 in shopping vouchers.
