Style news in Dubai

The Zoo opens in Level Shoe District, and new personal shopping at Rivoli

Good news for gents who like to rock some edginess with their style: a special collection of street art-inspired leather accessories is now available at luxury leather brand Coach (04 385 0876). The NYC-born brand has collaborated with Brooklyn street art brand Krink to design a series of graffiti-coated tote bags, luggage tags, iPad cases and other accessories (pictured below). The products feature Krink’s signature dripping paint style and were produced by a 30-step silk-screen process. Head down to the MOE boutique to check them out.

Meanwhile, some exciting news on the local scene. Much-loved purveyor of cool The Zoo (055 402 8469) has opened a space within The Dubai Mall’s exclusive new Level Shoe District. It’s part art gallery, part retail space and features home design pieces, including lamps and contemporary furniture, as well as books, toys, electronics and unusual gifts from more than 20 international labels. We can’t wait to check it out.

Having trouble picking out a watch that suits? Local retailer Rivoli Group (800 748654) is now offering a personal shopping service. The staff are trained on the watches and how they’re manufactured, and can make suggestions according to individual style and lifestyle. The free service will be offered on sales of mid-range and high-end watches at selected outlets, including The Dubai Mall. To make a booking, call 04 348 7281.
