ARTE craft market at Times Square Centre
On Friday February 8, this small mall is hosting a market featuring hand-made wares created by more than 1,800 artisans from 30 countries.

Coco Chanel Mystery
On Wednesday February 6, Dubai-based French fashion institute Esmod is hosting an evening with Coco Chanel. Well, sort of – she’ll be there in spirit. French fashion historian and costume designer Alexandre Vassiliev will host a presentation on the life and legacy of the fashion icon.

Samsung Canvas: Collective
Want to show your talent to the world? This unique design project aims to discover talented artists in the region and provides a platform to showcase their skills. Using the Samsung Galaxy Note product range, artists will be given an opportunity to create exclusive T-shirt designs that will support UAE-based charity Social Bandage. Those interested are invited to submit their T-shirt designs either on the website below, or at Samsung’s stands at The Dubai Mall and Jumeirah Beach Residence.

Star Hunt Fashion Show at Dubai Outlet Mall
Following a lengthy audition process that took place throughout December 2012, ten male and ten female finalists have received modelling, make-up and catwalk training and will strut their stuff in a fashion show finale. On Friday February 8, the models will walk down the runway wearing brands from the mall, including DKNY and Aftershock. A panel of judges will then determine the winners of the Star Hunt.

KAGE spring/summer 2013 collection
The edgy local label has a new set of summer threads waiting to be worn. The range features chiffon, lace, floral prints, pastels, shirt dresses, floaty maxis, lace-back T-shirts and flirty slips.

Pomellato opens at The Dubai Mall
The high-end Milanese jewellery label, famed for its stackable solitaire rings, has unveiled a sparkling new flagship store at The Dubai Mall. Occupying 45 sq m, it features large, brightly-lit window displays embellished with a bronze frame, and the interiors are subtle and sophisticated with cream-coloured fabric panels on the walls.

Topman spring/summer 2013 collection
Hitting shelves this month, the cheerful new men’s line from the popular British retailer is for gents who dare to be different. It features bold floral prints, plus suits in single shades such as white and the more adventurous baby pink.
