Designer knitwear, Indian style and two very talented twins

This week's shopping & style insider news

Ladies who loved Topshop’s autumn tie-in with British designer JW Anderson will be stoked to know that the knitwear mogul is returning for round two. The spring/summer 2013 collection will go on sale in Dubai on Wednesday March 6 and features key pieces such as kilts and motif pullovers, as well as futuristic-style sci-fi fabrics and patterns. You’ll also find vinyl in pale lilac used on miniskirts and shifts, plus gingham tees and duffle bags. Beam me up, Scotty.

Did you spot the latest in fashion royalty to visit Dubai last week? Franca Sozzani, the stylish and hugely respected editor-in-chief of Vogue Italia, was in town to announce the brand’s collaboration with The Dubai Mall (800 38224 6255) to host the Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience in October 2013. Modelled on Vogue Fashion Nights, the event will feature more than 180 high-street and luxury brands create a special line of merchandise, with a portion of proceeds going towards charity Dubai Cares.

Finally, cool Indian designer twins Zina and Zoya Singh were in Dubai last week to attend the launch of their debut fashion line, dubbed a ‘modern Eastern collection’. The twins have a unique ethnic style with a quirky twist, so there’s little doubt the collection will be cooler than a cucumber. Check it out at the Salma Khan Fashion House (04 385 4741) on Al Wasl Road.
