This week: Downtown Design fair, a Vogue event and Longchamp re-opens.
Four-day fair Downtown Design (www.downtowndesign.com) kicks off late this month on Tuesday October 28, where local lifestyle concept S*uce Gifts (pictured) is holding a pop-up space, curated under the theme Marie Antoinette x Bedouin Nouveau. Fairgoers can pick up affordable design, lifestyle and gifts from the pop-up, which will represent a number of regional and international designers. Also exhibiting are Herman Miller, Paola Lenti and Bang & Olufsen.
Meanwhile, the second edition of Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience (www.vfdebyemaar.com) takes place in The Dubai Mall later this month over three days starting Thursday October 30. The event includes runway shows, lectures, concept stores and more than 250 brands offering limited-edition items. The highlight events will display the collections from eight invited international designers and 20 promising talented designers selected by industry experts Vogue Italia.
Meanwhile, luxury French leathergoods brand Longchamp (04 339 8460) has swung open its doors to shoppers in The Dubai Mall once again, following renovations. The flagship has undergone a makeover and the clean, new layout now mimics the design codes of the label’s stores worldwide.
