Dubai Shopping Festival
The annual shopping bonanza is in full swing with stores and malls across the city offering a range of big discounts and deals until February 1. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the event with an even bigger offering of activities and big-value competitions.

The market at The Beach
Shop at this new market at The Beach, JBR, from Saturday January 10. Taking place weekly, the beachside event has stalls offering handmade gifts, clothing and souvenirs, which you can browse while sipping fresh coconut juice straight from the shell and tucking into a just-baked pastry or sizzling kebab.
Free. Saturdays 10am-8pm. Until May 15. Next to Sheraton Jumeirah Beach Resort, The Beach, JBR.

Ripe Market
Head to Ripe Market at Zabeel Park on Friday January 9 to browse a large choice of foodie and artisan stalls. There’s also entertainment for kids.

New stores & collections

SJP Collection
Sarah Jessica Parker chose Dubai for the international launch her new shoe collection, which is now on sale at Harvey Nichols. The Hollywood actress has partnered with Manolo Blahnik CEO George Malkemus III to create SJP Collection – a line of embellished jewel-toned high heels.

Marbella Paris
Luxury body jewellery brand Marbella Paris has opened a new boutique in the Burj Al Arab, offering its premium range of jewels for the hair and body within suitably prestigious surroundings. Each piece is handmade in France, with materials including 24 carat gold and Swarovski crystals.

House of Hend
Luxury ready-to-wear line House of Hend has just arrived at O Concept on Jumeirah Beach Road. The line is designed by Emirati Sheikha Hend Al Qassemi and reflects Middle Eastern culture in its details. The Spring 2015 collection features a range of opulent, pastel-hued, embroidered dresses that are both elegant and dreamy and is on sale now.

In-mall entertainment

Mega Gold and Jewellery Raffle
Spend Dhs500 in participating jewellery outlets before Sunday February 1 to be entered into a raffle to win 1kg of gold and 1-carat diamond jewellery every day during Dubai Shopping Festival. There will also be weekly draws to win 5kg of gold, and at the end of the festival, a whopping 40kg of gold will be distributed among four lucky winners as well as 8-carat diamonds.
