Paper Lane review

Time Out Dubai reviews Paper Lane in Town Centre Jumeirah. The arts and crafts shop in Dubai, a top place to buy art materials in Dubai and other wares

Not everyone’s out painting Downtown red on a Thursday night. There are some people who like nothing more than to scuttle home and get out their craft projects. You might sit next to one of these people at work. You might even be one. Either way, you should have heard about Paper Lane by now.

If ever there was a place to embrace your inner Martha Stewart in Dubai, Paper Lane is it. (And speaking of the multi-talented American businesswoman, you’ll find her crafts line here too.) Stashed away on the first floor of Town Centre Jumeirah on Jumeirah Beach Road, this
well-stocked, neatly organised store is filled with paper scrapbooking essentials, tools, paints and more accessories.

For anyone who prefers to chat while they work, the shop’s experts conduct regular classes and workshops, open to beginners and the more experienced, and covering everything from canvas bag painting to scrapbooking and paper crafting specifics such as mosaics and découpage (a great way to make personalised gifts this Christmas). Looking for an alternative place to hold a baby shower or kids’ birthday party? Paper Lane can help.
