Golden frog goes on sale in UAE for Dhs3.6m via dubizzle

Time Out Dubai has information on a Golden frog going on sale in the UAE for Dhs3.6m via dubizzle. Also see pictures and get more details on the listing

You might remember a dinosaur skeleton going on sale last June for a whopping Dhs88million.

Now an equally as shocking listing has gone up on classifieds website dubizzle – a lucky gold frog apparently worth Dhs3.67million.

User Unni Raja from Kerala, India, has made the figurine available for Dhs3,672,950.

The frog currently located in Sharjah and the owner was given the quirky item by his father.

"This frog brings good luck, I truly believe it has changed my life since my father passed it down to me in 2007," he claims. The seller added that his circumstances have drastically changed since having ownership of the item, and now he is opting to give it away.

"From a petrol pump assistant with an income of Dhs1,500/per month, I am now being able to live life comfortably with a car, good job and more," he added.

And there’s plenty more what that came from according to dubizzle’s Marketing Manager.

Irina Katchan, who works on the items for sale and the mobile app commented: "You’d be amazed at what you'd find on dubizzle. Some of the more outrageous items include a Boeing 747, or a 1974 Cadillac Fleetwood limousine previously owned by a late Egyptian president - and today we have a golden frog on sale at dubizzle - it clearly demonstrates the power of Classifieds and the uniqueness of consumer-to-consumer trade.

“We have seen many unique items being sold on dubizzle, but this one is definitely a first timer for us all."
