Best of British retail concept opens in Al Quoz

Expect unique furniture, afternoon tea, film clubs, hot desks (and free wi-fi)

There’s a new retail concept coming to Al Quoz, and in keeping with its trendy surroundings, its promising an events hub, creative space, antique furniture and unique buys – all with a best of British theme.

Boo-Burys, found in the Courtyard Gallery, will be opening in style on Wednesday October 11, which will be a night of live jazz, nibbles and a range of prize draws, kicking off at 6pm and running until 10pm. You can also expect discount prices on furniture during the launch event, plus a chance to win a range of prizes.

The store itself will be selling one off antiques, vintage accessories and handcrafted British furniture. Expect classic pieces as well as contemporary – and if you’re looking for something truly unique for your living room, this definitely looks like it’s worth a visit.

If you can’t make the opening bash itself, afternoon tea will be served the following day (Thursday October 12), from 2pm until 5pm, featuring a range of British afternoon tea classics.

The store will be a mixed events space, with a range of events making it more than a static furniture store, and a place offering up a number of reasons to visit. There are plans for a monthly film night, hot desk availability for freelancers (free wi-fi, you say?), separate child and adult book clubs, regular afternoon tea for mums and babies, seminars on interior design, sewing workshops and a range of other meet-up and networking events.

Here’s an idea of what you can expect:
