Garden Souq opening in Dubai

Dubai Garden Centre launches weekly market with goods, food and music

A brand-new green souk is opening in Dubai, just in time for the winter months to arrive.

Now that it’s a bit cooler outside, and everyone has successfully returned to the great outdoors, Dubai Garden Centre is getting ready to launch an outdoor market – the Garden Souq.

Starting from Saturday November 4 and running every Saturday all winter long until Saturday March 31 2018, the souk is promising a huge array of goods being showcased, and will introduce local vendors and artists to sell their products.

As well as household pots and plants, you can also expect to find a unique collection of clothes, jewellery, shoes, fashion accessories, home décor products, handmade items and many other artisanal products.

This isn’t to say the whole souk idea is just about making purchases, the Garden Souq will also have food stalls, live music and cooking demonstrations, yoga sessions and dedicated kids section which will offer free craft activities, plus a petting zoo, bouncy castle, face painting and balloon twisting.

The best bit? Entry is entirely free. So this is one we absolutely cannot wait to check out.

Sat Nov 4 – Sat Mar 31 2018. Sat 10am-2.30pm. Dubai Garden Centre, Al Quoz (04 590 4333).
