New mall opens in Dubai's The Springs

Expect around 100 shops at Springs Souk, including Marks & Spencer

It's been long-awaited by many residents of Emirates Living communities The Meadows and The Springs. Ever since the old Choithrams was shut down and the skate park closed up, residents have been waiting for the arrival of the neighbourhood's very own mall.

And now Emaar has finally opened the doors to its The Springs Souk – a 23,000 sq m space far more vast than the nearby Town and Village Centres, which have been servicing residents for years.

Inside, the new mall is home to roughly 100 shops and restaurants over two floors, plus a Carrefour Market (could this spell the end of Spinneys' dominance of the affluent suburban neighbourhood?) and a gym, with a Reel Cinema complex set to follow very soon and bring six screens to the neighbourhood.

The mall is also set to house cafés and dining options including Yoghurtland and stores including Marks & Spencer.
