Free yoga at Tania’s Teahouse for World Relaxation Day

Relax with yoga, soothing tea and adult colouring

Yoga

World Relaxation Day is almost upon us and we don’t need any excuse to take it easy.

In our opinion there’s no better way of relaxing than with a nice brew, and Tania’s Teahouse is pulling out all the stops to make sure we’re fully chilled on the day itself.

On Wednesday August 15 the teahouse will host a free Anti-Anxie-Tea yoga class with Yoga Ashram in the onsite yoga room.

The session will focus on relaxation and yogis will learn how to refine basic yoga poses alongside breathing techniques, pranayama and sun salutations.

And you’ll also be able to get your hands on a nice relaxing cuppa while you’re there. Tania’s Anti-Anxie-Tea is created with organic Egyptian chamomile, which is then infused with ashwagandha, burdock, lemon balm, nettle oatstraw, anise and liquorice root.

And what better way to enjoy a cup of Anti-Anxie-Tea than with a couple of crayons and a colouring book? Tania’s Teahouse also offering art therapy sessions, which will begin on National Relaxation Day and continue on a regular basis.

The practice of colouring generates wellness through quietness and also helps stimulate brain areas related to motor skills, heightens senses and drives creativity.

The teahouse opened earlier this year, having been set up up Tania Lodi.

The venue is awash in candy-pink hues, with marble tables, rose gold furniture and cute puns in framed pictures and on takeaway cups. It's also famous for its Mermaid Toast (rainbow swirls and all) so make sure you grab a snack with your colouring.

We feel more relaxed at the mere thought.
Free. Wed Aug 15, 7pm-8.15pm. Jumeirah Beach Road, Umm Suqeim (04 324 0021).
