Tough Mudder returns to Dubai for winter 2019

One of the city’s biggest obstacle courses is back, and in a brand-new location

Tough Mudder returns to Dubai for winter 2019

It’s one of the toughest, and most popular obstacle courses around, and Tough Mudder is set to return to Dubai for another year once the winter season properly settles in.

Gather your mates, beg your colleagues, see if those beasts you occasionally chat to in the gym fancy it, and round everyone up for Tough Mudder, which this winter is moving to Dubai Festival City from its brief home in Dubai Sports City (having also visited Ras Al Khaimah earlier this year).

For now, information on the event is a bit limited and there’s going to be a lot more to be announced soon. What we do know at the moment is that the event is due to return to Dubai on Friday November 15 and will be split into multiple challenges and formats.

The Tough Mudder Classic will be a 10km run with more than 25 obstacles, which if previous years are anything to go by will be utterly absurd and a massive challenge for anyone taking part – check out the list of previous obstacles here, they’re mad.

It’s an un-timed and team-orientated challenge with immense obstacles that, according to the team behind it, are “designed around the values of courage, personal accomplishment, teamwork and fun”.

The 5km course features more than 13 mud and water-based obstacles that require individual strength and an even stronger teamwork ethic.
While the 1.6km kids’ track has a series of obstacles specifically designed for five to 12-year-olds (but must be accompanied by an adult, who gets a free ticket).

Tickets are available now, with prices starting from Dhs400 for the event. Head to for more information.
