Play against one of the best dart players in the world at The Irish Village

Have a knack for darts and think you can take on one of the best players in the world? Loosen up that wrist, as The Irish Village is giving you the chance to shine.

On Thursday January 10 2019, the popular Irish spot in Garhoud will host Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor with an exclusive dinner and Q&A session, along with the chance for one skilled darts fan in Dubai to play against him.

That’s right. Over the next few weeks, the venue will be setting up three qualifying matches for all players of the sport to compete for a chance to test their aim against the winner of 16 World Championships in darts.

The first round will be held on Monday November 26 from 7pm until 10pm, with the following matches taking place on Monday December 10 and 17 at the same times.

Entry to each match is Dhs25, and competitors head down to any or all of the qualifiers to be in for a chance to head for the big final. All those who enter the tournament will also get a pint.

As for the dinner, fans of the sport can look forward to a Q&A session with Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor, as well as a full dinner and six pints of hops, all for Dhs199.

It won’t any easy task playing against Taylor, as he has won eight consecutive World Champion-ships from 1995 to 2002 and reached 14 consecutive finals from 1994 to 2007. Both being rec-ords, by the way.

You can get yourself a ticket right here.

In the meantime, you can also look forward to The Irish Village’s Christmas brunch and party in De-cember, along with a whole lot of other festivities over the holiday season.

Best get practicing on that aim.
Tournament: Dhs25 (one beverage). Mon Nov 26, Mon Dec 10 and Mon Dec 17, 7pm-10pm. Q&A session: Dhs199. Thu Jan 10, 2019, 7pm-11pm. The Irish Village, Garhoud, (04 282 4750).
