Another month, another challenge, another chance to flail, wail and sail around the world-renowned Tough Mudder obstacle course.

The adult and kids’ routes are moving to a new home in Dubai Sports City for the April 12 showdown – with early bird tickets now on sale.

Fire up the Whatsapp group, send out those pleading work emails and gather your gang for a chance show off your superiority on a mud-drenched track.

The 5km course features 13 mud and water-based obstacles that require individual strength and an even stronger teamwork ethic.

While the 1.6km kids’ track has a series of obstacles specifically designed for five to 12-year-olds.

Tough Mudder 5km is an untimed event, meaning there’s no pressure and no need to train hard before signing up.

Nic Cartwright, of Sabco Sports who partner Tough Mudder in running the event, said: “We wanted to create a brand-new event in Dubai and bring the 5km course route to Dubai Sports City to give people who might be intimidated by the full Tough Mudder course, the opportunity to try out Tough Mudder.

“It is the perfect challenge to take on with colleagues or if you’re new to fitness. We know people are going to love it and have a lot of fun which is what Tough Mudder is all about.”

Outdoor adventure retail specialist Adventure HQ is also hosting a Tough Mudder evening at the flagship Times Square Center store on March 27 between 4pm and 8pm.

Participants can get kitted out for the event, pick out kit and accessories that are perfect for both training and crushing the course.

There are also prizes to be won, discounts and more.
