Limber up for one final outdoor race in Dubai

Final Dubai Desert Run announced for June 7

If you’re planning on running outside in this heat you deserve a medal, and that’s what you’ll get if you take part in the Dubai Desert Road Run.

The final event in the series is taking place at the Sevens Stadium on Al Ain Road on Friday June 7 to give you a chance to beat your personal best before running outside becomes toast.

You can take on 3km, 5km or 10km as part of the race, with every runner that crosses the finish line being presented with a medal, and the fastest three in each age group receiving a trophy for their efforts.

The series of runs centres around a race village at the stadium, where runners can also win on-the-spot prizes in a raffle draw, and indulge in post-race food and drink.

Spectating the evet is free, so you’ll be able to bring along the crew to witness your moment of glory.

Make haste to the registration site, as you’ll have to be signed up to take part, with the 3km race costing Dhs105, the 5km costing Dhs126 and the 10km costing Dhs147.

Time to give those running shoes one last dusting off.
