Three places to play basketball in Dubai

If you're a fan of basketball, you'll be excited about the upcoming match taking place at Dubai's Coca-Cola Arena next month.

The biggest teams in the Philippines Basketball Association, Barangay Ginebra, NLEX road warriors and San Miguel Beermen, will play part of their hugely-anticipated season on Friday October 4 to Saturday October 5, the arena's first sports event.

But if you're more into playing than watching, here's where to give basketball a go in Dubai.

Beyond Basketball
This youth basketball centre helps train kids across three age groups, up to age 16. It offers technical and fitness training, nutritional guidance and even potential progression towards US scholarship programmes (plus regular league matches, of course).

Dubai Stars
This multi-purpose sports facility is open every day of the week and has four different courts from which to choose.
It also offers academies and coaching in basketball, football and more for you to perfect your skills.

JLT Basketball Court
Live in JLT and fancy sharpening your skills? An open-air single court that’s best suited to winter al fresco matches, this court next to JLT Cluster O is free-to-play during the weekdays before 6pm, after which (and on weekends) bookings are recommended and priced at Dhs100 per hour.
