Ladies’ night at Wild Wadi
Every Thursday night until the end of October, the Jumeirah waterpark opens its doors to women only, on a night that is staffed entirely by ladies. Boys aged eight or younger are welcome if accompanied by female family members.

Nomad dive trips
Nomad Ocean Adventures offers three-day diving package trips with accommodation in Musandam from Thursday to Saturday. Includes full-board on Thursday and Friday nights and free Nitrox for certified divers. The trip includes three dives on Friday and two on Saturday.

Corporate boxing
Earlier in the year, some of the UAE’s top CEOs and company owners went through elimination bouts to get to this point: the State of Origin final. Watch them vent their stress through 10 bouts of corporate boxing.

Dubai Dingoes streetwise fitness

Indoor kart track
Check out the revamped indoor kart track at Dubai Autodrome. The track is now longer and more technical, adding an extra 13 seconds to the old lap record of 33 seconds.

IYT small power boat and RIB master/personal watercraft courses
Learn theory and practical information on the basics of small power boats, dinghies and RIBs on a two-day course, or pick up everything you need to know to be a responsible jetski rider during a single-day lesson. PADI open-water e-learning course
Completing a PADI qualification is the first step of learning to dive, and comprises five pool dives and four sea dives, plus a theory section you can complete online. Nomad Ocean Adventures teaches students the basic techniques of diving at its residential centre in Musandam.

Red Bull Quicket
Watch the final of this version of quick cricket, which involves two teams, two players per team, two overs, six balls per over – and no fielders. Runs are scored by batsmen hitting the ball on to one of the four different scoring zones across the field.

Dubai Marina running club
If you’d like to get fit but don’t see yourself as much of a runner, this could be the club for you – as long as you don’t mind an early start. Sessions are for all fitness levels. Club members run around the Marina and surrounding areas.

Badminton ‘Shuttle Fun III’ league
Join Duplays’ mixed open two-a-side badminton sessions.

Kayaking tours
Noukhada Adventure Company offers regular kayaking tours to the stunning waterways and coastline of Umm Al Quwain. Directions to the tour site will be provided.

Dubai Mighty Camels pre-season training
The ice hockey stars get their skates on for pre-season training sessions. The 24-game league will run from October to March.

Take up dragon boating
Join Dubai Flying Dragons every Monday and Wednesday at Barasti Beach in Dubai Marina. Dragon boaters at the other side of the city can join the Falcons on Sunday and Wednesdays at 6.30pm or Fridays at 8.30am at Festival City. A newbie session takes place on Saturdays at 4pm.

CNCF-Barracuda Paddlers women’s dragon boating
The CNCF dragon-boat team trains on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.

This unique and surprisingly emotional activity is a great way to get outside during the hot weather. No previous riding experience is necessary.
