The 33rd Dubai International Rally opening ceremony
Coinciding with the 40th anniversary of the UAE, the Dubai International Rally (the final round of the 2011 FIA Middle East Rally Championship) will see its ceremonial start take place today at Emaar Boulevard, in Downtown Dubai from 7.30pm. The rally itself kicks off at 9am on Friday 2 at the Higher Colleges of Technology in Academic City.

UAE Ballooning Championship Dubai 2011
This three-day ballooning festival at Meydan kicks off today. There are flights each day in the morning and evening to celebrate the 40th anniversary of UAE National Day. On Friday 2, there will be
a special skylamp release from 5.30pm.

Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens 2011
The busiest day of this three-day tournament is today, when UAE residents and tourists turn out to see international teams play seven-minute games in their battle to win the cup. IYT Personal Watercraft Master
This one-day course is designed to help you meet the requirements for safe PWC operations and covers being a responsible rider in charge of a PWC (a jetski, for example) and passengers with 20 miles of a safe haven, in fair weather.
