10-a-side softball league
The Sandlot II softball league starts today for men and women looking for a fun, social sport.

Horse riding off the beaten track
Mushrif Park’s riding club has three arenas for lessons, jumping and dressage, and 1,300 acres of natural parkland to explore on horseback.

Join the Dubai Diggers and try your hand at dragon boating
The Diggers meet three times a week for practice. Phone the team in advance, and they will make sure you get access to the hotel’s beach to join them.

Jumeirah Emirates Towers Vertical Marathon
Back for a 10th year, the Jumeirah Emirates Towers Vertical Marathon will see up to 200 enthusiastic participants ascend 1,334 stairs to the 52nd floor of the office tower to raise money
for Médecins Sans Frontières. Since 2002, the annual event has raised more than Dhs1 million.

Play streetball to win Dhs30,000
The Sharjah StreetballChallenge returns for one of the UAE’s biggest outdoor three-on-three basketball tournaments. The country’s best players will battle it out to win Dhs30,000, with divisions for men, women, mixed teams, boys and girls. Advance online registration is essential.

Sign up for the Volkswagen Dubai Amateur Squash Open
Are you a keen squash player? Tournaments don’t come along often, so make the most of this multi-tiered event on Thursday April 19 to Saturday 21 by signing up to compete now. Book a desert driving course
Either borrow one of the company’s Land Cruisers or bring your own 4x4. A valid driving licence is essential, and the course must be booked in advance.

The Shuttle Masters league starts today, and is open to both men and women looking to play at a recreational level.

Try a traditional pearl diving experience with Jumeirah
Step on board a traditional dhow and try your hand at pearl diving the old-fashioned way, at depths of three to five metres. Find a pearl and you can keep it. The trip also includes a typical Emirati fish and rice lunch, as well as singing and story-telling. Weather permitting.
