The city’s biggest sporting weekend returns, with exciting rugby action on the pitch, bizarre fancy dress in the stands and live entertainment in the rugby village.

FAI World Parachuting Championships Mondial 2012
The opening ceremony takes place today, and the first contests begin. More than 1,000 skydivers from all over the world will take to the air to compete.

Gulf Super Sixes 2012
The corporate cricketing tournament gets under way today, with 48 teams competing. The top eight will be mentored by cricketing legends, in a bid to see them win the cup.

Oakley Run Series (race 2 of 5)

National Day!
The Lost Chambers Family Fun Day As the UAE celebrates its 41st anniversary, The Lost Chambers hosts a special UAE-themed family fun day. Children are granted free entry with each paying adult, and can enjoy date tasting courtesy of Bateel, hear tales from UAE folklore, take part in cultural activities and spot the UAE flag flying underwater. There will also be talks held on marine species native to the Gulf’s waters. UAE freediving champion Ahmed Khoori will make a special appearance to help raise awareness of the importance of ocean conservation.
