Beginner golf coaching
This level one group golf coaching course is open to anyone, even if they’ve never set foot on a golf course. Over eight weeks, the aim is to arm you with the fundamentals and the knowledge to help you start on the right track.

Basket Hunters basketball league
A new men’s recreational basketball league starts today in Mirdif.

Al Marsa’s weekend getaway offers
Al Marsa is running three special diving packages every weekend. The first is a discover scuba-diving trip (DSD), the second an open-water diving course (eLearning OWC) and the third an advanced open-water course that includes five adventure dives and a certification upon completion (AOW). Dubai Desert Road Run

Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships: Women’s final and men’s qualifying rounds
Catch the final of the women’s open at Dubai Tennis Stadium. Competitions will be taking place on preceding days in the tournament for a chance to win tickets. Meanwhile, the men’s open begins today, with a limited number of tickets for qualifying matches available on the door.

Dubai Camel Racing Festival
This 12-day local festival sees thousands of highly trained camels of different ages and breeds from across the region come together to compete and win big prizes.

Tribal bootcamp
Tribe Fit may be yet to open its Dubai Marina gym, but it’s already getting the word out with free fitness classes five days a week. There’s bootcamp on Tuesdays and Sundays, running club on Thursdays (both in Dubai Marina), Bodypump on Wednesdays, and Bodycombat and TRX on Mondays (at Regent International School). Dubai Polo Gold Cup 2013
The Gold Cup gets under way today, with six UAE polo teams – each featuring professional international players –competing for victory. There will be matches during the week, as well as at the weekends, with final fixtures announced on the event’s website. Pack a picnic for a great day out.

Dubai Roller Derby
Whether you’re a novice or pro, take part in this skate fitness and derby training session, which runs every Monday and Wednesday. There are also positions for skating officials and referees.

Get fit for less in February
Throughout February, members and non-members can visit Fidelity Fitness clubs in JLT and Dubai Marina every Sunday, Wednesday and Saturday from noon to 2pm and 6pm to 8pm for a free health check. First-time guests also get a free one-day pass for the gym.
