Al Marmoum Camel Racing Season
The camel racing season is under way, with events running right through to 2014. Races run this week on Wednesday, Thursday and Tuesday.

South Africa v Pakistan cricket series, second test
South Africa and Pakistan meet on the field for the second test matches series in Dubai Sports City.

Nad Al Sheba group ride
Join ex-professional cyclist Vitor Carvalho for a ride at Nad Al Sheba Cycle Park, with an average pace of 24-26km.

Gulf Bike Week
Watch incredible street bike and freestyle motocross stunts, take part in a custom bike competition, watch local rockers perform and much more at this three-day event.

Improvers Tri Camp 2013
This three-day camp is aimed at those preparing for the 2013/14 season who want to see improvement. The minimum requirement is that you can comfortably swim 400m, bike 10km and run 5km. Participants will be training with a qualified triathlon coach.

Friday 25

Badminton league
This pay-per-play league is open to all, with games played in a doubles format.

FIFA U-17 World Cup: Nigeria v Iraq
The two youth teams go head-to-head in Dubai.

FIFA U-17 World Cup: Argentina v Canada
Teams from the two nations meet again in Dubai.

Giant Duathlon Series Race 1
The nine-race Giant Bicycles Duathlon series is aimed at triathletes, duathletes, cyclists, runners and fitness enthusiasts of all ages and abilities. This event is a 3km run, 25km cycle and 2.5km run.

Saturday 26

ASICS 8k and 4k Run Series
This event is the first of five races in the series. Entrants have the chance to win an all-expenses-paid holiday to the French Alps.

Charity Kickball Day
Take part in a kickball tournament – the sport is a combination of softball, rounders and football. There’s a pink dress code, though fancy dress is highly encouraged, and all proceeds from the event go to Breast Cancer Arabia.

Sunday 27

Ball hockey league
This ball hockey league offers men and women the chance to see some real action, in a five-on-five mixed recreational league, Mighty Ducks Reloaded.

Pick-up Sundays
Join in Duplays’ pay-per-play ultimate pick-up frisbee sessions, which take place every Sunday evening.

Monday 28

Night rides at Al Qudra
Join Probike’s Monday night rides, which are currently a short but sweet 36km or 45km out-and-back ride along the Al Qudra cycle track, with a pace of between 26-28kmph – though there are two groups, one slow and one fast.

Tuesday 29

Talise Fitness Breast Cancer Challenge
This challenge involves doing a total 100km on cardio equipment including the treadmill, cross trainer and glider/ski. Entry fees go to Pink Caravan.
