Wednesday 6

Al Marmoum Camel Racing Season
The camel racing season is under way, with events running right through to 2014. Races run this week on Wednesday and Thursday.

Dubai International Motor Show
The exhibit continues, with displays from some of the world’s most respected car manufacturers and plenty of activities to get involved with, from a Pirelli pit-stop challenge to a distinctive number plate auction. There is also a parade and thrilling drift race on Friday 8.

Nad Al Sheba group ride
Join ex-professional cyclist Vitor Carvalho for a ride at Nad Al Sheba Cycle Park, with an average pace of 24-26km.

Tribe Pool Tournament
TribeFit social gym hosts a pool tournament open to all abilities as well as both members and non-members. Tribal chief Ryan Cheal will run the event, where there will be prizes up for grabs.

Thursday 7

Meydan Race Nights 2013
Racing returns to Meydan starting tonight, with world-class jockeys and horses, heralding the start of the 2013/14 season.

Test yourself against the ‘ultimate’ circuit
High-intensity interval training meets circuit training at this group class, which claims to guarantee results in record time.

Dubai Women’s Run 2013
Take part in the fourth ladies-only run, which features distances of 5km and 10km.

Dubai Wrestling Entertainment 2013
This is the first event in what is being touted as a new, regular series for Dubai. See Chris Raaber, Chris Masters, Red Eagle, Arabian Knight, Kenzo Richards, Joe Doering, Tajiri and more battle it out.

Red Bull Car Park Drift
Watch daring drift racers compete in this thrilling event, which forms part of the Dubai Motor Show line-up.

Badminton league
This pay-per-play league is open to all, with games played in a doubles format.

Football league
The Volkswagen men’s seven-a-side division two league kicks off today, running for six weeks.

ZOGGS Aquathlon Series, race one of three
Entrants in this event have the chance to win an all-expenses-paid trip to the French Alps. There are three race distances, with spring, super sprint and Olympic categories.

Sunday 10

Ball hockey league
This ball hockey league offers men and women the chance to see some real action, in a five-on-five mixed recreational league, Mighty Ducks Reloaded.

Pick-up Sundays

Night rides at Al Qudra
