Dubai Polo Gold Cup Series
Watch teams of the finest polo players in the world compete for a place in the final on Friday March 14.

Dubai International Boat Show
Check out a showcase of the best superyachts and boats this weekend.

Friday 7

Ride for Roy
This 65km ride is in memory of Roy Nasr, an athlete and co-founder of triathlon club TriDubai who was killed in an accident in 2013. The event is not a race and all registration fees go to the Roy Nasr Memorial Fund. Dhs300. 7am. Atlantis The Palm, Palm Jumeirah (no number).

Tech Bug Challenge
Offroad 4x4 drivers are challenged to take to the dunes and rev up to this desert orienteering drive challenge. Drivers are given five GPS points and have to navigate the shortest route between the points for a chance to win prizes worth up to Dhs10,000. After the challenge drivers can enjoy a full barbecue buffet and DJs. Register online to get involved and receive coordinates. Dhs100 per vehicle and driver. Additional costs for extra passengers.

UAE National Race Day (Round 7)
Enjoy the thrill of motor sports for the whole family. Round 7 will feature NGK Racing Series, UAE Sportbike Championship, Radical Middle East Cup and Formula Gulf 1000, which should make for a great family day out for motoring enthusiasts.

Saturday 8

Dubai World Cup Carnival 2014
Cheer on the finest horses and their jockeys at this entertaining showcase night of international horse racing.
Free general admission. 6.30pm. Meydan Racecourse, Nad Al Sheba, (04 327 2110).

Asics 4km and 8km race
Test your endurance pace with this event. The route includes a 4km loop, finishing at the Golf Club House at Meydan. This event takes place on the private roads of Meydan so there will be no traffic. There is also a junior 4km event.
Dhs100 for juniors, Dhs150 for adults. 7am. The Track Golf Clubhouse, Meydan, Nad Al Sheba, (050 657 5021).

The Zurich Corporate
Touch 6s Tournament Twenty corporate teams will be battling it out to become champions of the 2014 Zurich Corporate Touch 6s tournament. As well as the rugby there will be great entertainment for any supporting families, as well as for friends and touch rugby fans. Free for spectators.

Sunday 9

Sunday night division 1 netball
Sign up now for Sunday night netball with Duplays. This ladies’ leagues is always very popular and it kicks off on Sunday March 16. The level of play will be high, so register your team or yourself nice and early.

Corporate beach volleyball
Get your colleagues together for a game of volleyball at Barasti. The event is open to mixed teams from companies in all areas of business, and is a great way to start the week.

Yoga for cyclists
Cyclists spend a lot of time working on their cardiovascular strength and their lower body muscles, but this yoga session is specifically designed to stretch weary legs and develop strength and flexibility all over the body.
