Duplays Premier Football League
If you fancy a good kickabout, sign up to be part of the largest football tournament across the United Arab Emirates. There will be 160 seven-aside teams across different divisions, age groups and cities. The event is sponsored by Adidas, so there will be prizes at the end of the league and one star player from each division will become an Adidas All-Star. Register a team or as an individual, but payment must be made in full before you can play.

The FINA/NVC Diving World Series
Watch British Olympic diving star Tom Daley take to the spring board at the FINA World Diving Championship. The competition will see the world’s top divers perform solo and synchronised dives.

Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship
This competition is also a celebration of the strength and agility of the purebred Arabian horse and is ideal for equine enthusiasts.

Emirates Airline Twenty20 2014
A day of entertaining cricket action, this match is hosted by Emirates Airline in conjunction with the Dubai Cricket Council and Dubai Sports Council. The event will see the Marylebone Cricket Club English county teams of Lancashire and Sussex and the Kerala XI compete. Cricket fans can watch out for big names such as Muttiah Muralitharan, Scott Styris and Virender Sehwag alongside Matt Prior, Prasanna Jayawardene and Jimmy Anderson.

Arabian Gulf Football: Al Wasl v Dubai
Support your local football teams in the Arabian Gulf League. Al Wasl play Dubai at their home ground in this Round 20 fixture.

Go Sport Criterium Series (Part 2)
Cyclists can test their cycle pace on The Go Sport Criterium Series. This sprint event is made up of three short course timed races that culminate in an overall series winner. There’s also a race for young riders aged 16-18. Register online to get involved.

Dubai Camels Ice Hockey League semi-finals
The semi-finals of what the organisers call, ‘the coolest game in the desert’ starts today. Fans of ice hockey can come support these amateur yet committed teams.

DXB Spinners II
