Dubai Festival City Challenge Tour Grand Final 2014
Watch the leading 45 players tee off for the big money prize fund. Golf fans can also participate in a free academy on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Dubai Camel Racing Festival
Head out to the desert to see one of the oldest sporting traditions in the UAE.

Samsung Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup
Teams from all over the world, including top-ranking Russia, will be heading to Jumeirah Beach for a week of thrilling beach football.

Dubai Off-Road and Adventure Show
This exhibition will showcase all the latest gadgets, sports, equipment and tours for exploring the great outdoors.

Dubai Racing Club season starts at Meydan The horse racing season restarts at Meydan Grandstand with regional horse racing for a spot in the prestigious Dubai World Cup. Fans can also get up close to the horses with stable tours, which include a five-star breakfast and meet and greet with the trainers.

Reebok running club exploration session
Athletes can have their running style and foot strike analysed by sports experts and get advice on the perfect running shoe. Email to book your slot.

Friday 7

Dubai International Triathlon
Cheer on the athletes as they take on this epic challenge. More than 1,000 athletes from 63 nations will be taking on the first half-iron distance triathlon to be held in the UAE. It will feature a 1.9km swim followed by a 90km cycle then a 21.1km run.

Dubai Women’s Run 2014
Ladies get your running shoes on and take part in the annual 5km and 10km races. Medals will be given to all participants. Register online to take part.

Societe Volleyball
Contest at JBR Nightspot Societe is hosting a day of free beach volleyball for over 21s. There’s no need to register, just turn up and play.

Trampoline Cardio at Optimal Fitness
Give your fitness a boost with this bouncy workout. Using individual mini trampolines, this class will improve your balance and aid weight loss. Book in advance to attend.

Wadi Adventure Race 7
This event marks the start of the new WAR season. This tough 10km obstacle course has been revamped for this season, and promises to test your limits.

Women’s basketball at Duplays
If you have a team or want to start one and play against other competitive women, sign up for this new basketball league. Play is already under way, but teams can absorb you at their discretion.

Monday 10

Surfing lessons with Surf Shop Arabia
Wannabe surfers can learn how to ride the waves with these one-hour lessons. The group meets in Dubai but lessons are held in Ajman, Sharjah and Fujairah. Locations vary according to conditions.

F.I.T Touch Rugby Men’s leagues
