What is the best thing about being a health and fitness professional?
Daily contact with positive people and helping others achieve a healthier lifestyle.
What were your first steps into living a healthier lifestyle? What sparked the change in you?
My first sporting steps began with playing tennis with my father. I immediately developed a passion for competition.
What advice would you offer to someone who wants to take that first step?
Do not give up. With time and patience, you can find a fantastic sport.
Why should Time Out readers get coaching from you?
Because I love tennis and I have 20 years of experience playing and coaching.
What benefits can people expect to see from a coaching session with you?
You’ll get a good workout and a lot of attention, with advice on the technical side of the game, too. I also make sure my sessions are a lot of fun.
Is there anything in particular that would complement a training session with you?
Motivation. That’s the basis of all learning.
What is your typical weekly training schedule?
I start the week focusing on more technical aspects. Mid-week is for more physical training and cardio, and at the end of the week, I like to focus on games and rallies.
How do you treat yourself on “Cheat Day?”
I have a day without sweating.
