Caroline Wozniacki interview - quick fire

Time Out Dubai has a quick fire Caroline Wozniacki interview. The tennis star discussed some of things to do in Dubai she enjoys most, as well as the IPTL

1 What brings you to Dubai?
I love it here. I’ve done waterparks and sandboarding, and obviously I love playing at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships every year.

2 Do you train here?
Yes, I love to train here, the weather is great and I have friends here, too.

3 What tennis player, past or present, would be your ideal doubles partner?
I was at the IPTL last year and I really wanted to play mixed doubles with Novak Djokovic, but we weren’t allowed to, so it would be fun to try that.

4 What are your goals for 2016?
On court, it’s a big year – not only do we have the Grand Slams to look forward to, but also the Olympics. I’d love to win one of those – that’s the main goal. Off court, I just hope that myself, my family and friends are healthy and happy.

5 In women’s tennis there are a lot of friendships and rivalries. How does it feel when you’re playing a friend like Serena Williams?
We’re just doing what we can to win – there are no hard feelings. We travel to the same tournaments and do the same thing, so it’s great to have that friendship off the court.
