A career in the financial sector might have its obvious fiscal rewards but it also comes with a heightened level of stress. But rather than letting the city’s economic whizzes loose on the punchbags after work each day, a gym in DIFC wants to get to the root of their problems – be they physical or mental.
D5 Executive Gymnasium takes (as its name suggests) a five-dimensional approach to fine-tuning its clients: exercise, rehab, nutrition, supplementation and education. Calling itself a “results-based training facility”, its founder and head coach, James Heagney, and his
team, assess each client thoroughly on metrics such as movement, pain management and body fat distribution, specialising in nutrition, sleep quality and stress reduction.
“Everybody is unique. At D5 we personalise and tailor every step of the client journey. We are known for our attention to detail and our ability to get great results in a very short period of time,” says Heagney.
Many of us know all too well that feeling of becoming bogged down with the science of our training regime. And if the facility itself wasn’t impressive enough, the level of bespoke client care certainly is.
Heagney, a 15-year veteran of the fitness game, still gets hands-on as D5’s head coach and believes the real modern-day wealth is that we’re “extremely privileged to choose the direction of our health”.
So don’t just boss the boardroom when you can boss your body, too.
