High-intensity fitness classes in Dubai

Insanity, PurMotion and Speedflex classes popular in Dubai

Sports & Outdoor

Insanity
You might have heard your gym pals discussing this craze, only usually available on DVD, so you can tackle it within the comfort of your own four (padded) walls. At FitLab at Emirates Golf Club, though, trainer Tracy brings you an in-the-flesh version of the heart-pumping, muscle-shredding, sweat-dripping cardio workout.
Dhs40 (members), Dhs50 (guests). Times vary. FitLab, Emirates Golf Club, www.dubaigolf.com.

PurMotion
Fitness First offers a range of HIIT classes but PurMotion is one of the more unique. Rather than using cardio weight machines, this workout uses pulleys, bars, ropes and certain weights to help you produce smooth, flowing movements at high intensity to simultaneously build cardio, stamina and strength.
Prices and times vary. Fitness First, Dubai Motor City, www.fitnessfirst.ae.

Speedflex
A workout of similar style to F45, Speedflex involves small groups taking on sessions that are high in intensity, low in impact and short in duration. They comprise a mix of Speedflex machines and traditional exercise equipment.
Prices and times vary. Speedflex, JA Ocean View Hotel, JBR, www.speedflex.com.
