Dubai Fitness Challenge carnival at Skydive Dubai

Huge weekend event sees extreme and adventure sports showcased in Dubai Marina

As Dubai Fitness Challenge continues into its third weekend, its Friday and Saturday weekend carnival is rolling into Dubai Marina for a two-day stay at Skydive Dubai.

This weekend is going to be big, because there is an awful lot going on – so grab your water bottle, running trainers and towel, and get ready.

Across the weekend, from 1pm on Friday November 3 until 7pm on Saturday November 4, Skydive Dubai will be transformed into an adventure and extreme sport haven. The event will feature everything from BMX and free-running/parkour courses, to skate parks, a climbing wall and, get this, kayaking, canoeing, paragliding and an urban attack obstacle race course.

According to the team behind the event, it’s not just about extreme sports, as “Determination sports will also be a key feature, with all participants being offered the opportunity to try wheelchair rugby and basketball, boccia and sitting volleyball.”

In addition to Superhero Walkathon (see here for this and more fitness events this weekend), the main stage will feature Experts from Les Mills leading fitness classes including Body Pump, Body Combat and Hatha Yoga; Arthur Murray Dance Studio, freestyle footballers Lisa Zimouche and Mohammed Al Noufali showcasing their skills; the Extreme BMX Tricks Squad performing a range of stunts plus world BMX champion Ola Selsjord demonstrating and teaching tricks on the mainstage.

Head along all weekend, and make the most of the free fitness sessions coming your way. Talk about fitspo…
